Anthony (Tony) James Davis' Obituary
Anthony James Davis, 61, of Waterloo, Iowa died Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.
Anthony was born Easter Sunday, March 29, 1964, son of Franklin (Frank) James Davis Sr. and Annie Dell (Stigler) Davis.
Anthony graduated West High School in 1982. Anthony entered the United States Army immediately following graduation, serving at Fort Campbell and overseas in Kitzingen, West Germany with honorable discharge after four years.
Anthony married Priscilla (Brookins) Davis (Wylie, Texas) in 1983. They later divorced, in 1993.
Anthony is survived by one son, Montrail DeShawn (Carmen) Davis and grandsons Andrew (age 8) and Asher (age 6), all of Garland, Texas; his sisters, Patricia Davis, Antoinette (brother-in-law Donald Brown) Davis of Waterloo, and Sherlonda Bunch of North Carolina; his nephews, DeCarrious Lee Dixon and Tremarus Deontae Dixon, both of Waterloo; niece, Janay Campbell of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and friends.
Anthony was preceded in death by his parents and youngest brother, Franklin Demetris Davis.
Memorials can be directed to family at 622 Boston Avenue, Waterloo, Iowa, where they will receive friends.
