Briannetta (Bri) Joyce Long's Obituary
Our beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and friend Briannetta Bri Long, of Sikeston, Missouri, passed away on October 1, 2024. She was born on May 23, 1969, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Irma Willis.
Bri met the love of her life, Kelvin Long, in 1996 and they were united in marriage until her passing.
Briannetta was a loving mother, dedicated teacher, a hard worker, and the best cook! The kind of meals where you’d find yourself fighting over the last piece. She had an open heart, ready to take on anyone who needed love, help, or motivation, and her smile was always present.
In her free time she enjoyed watching movies and playing games (but let’s be honest, she may have been known to bend the rules a bit). She had a special gift of seeing the potential in others even when they couldn’t see it in themselves! Her warmth, strength, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Briannetta’s love was contagious and will live on through her loving husband, Kelvin Long; her children, DeMetrious Taylor, Diamond Campbell, Kelvin Long Jr., and Antonnett Long; a brother, Steven Willis (Sara); two sisters, Joann Sims (Kirby) and Lindsey Wilson; eight grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and two godchildren, J'Marion and JaShon Boyd.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Irma Eugene Taylor; father, Joseph Willis; and brother, Brian Sain.
