Elnora Tucker's Obituary
Mrs. Elnora Tucker, 77, of Waterloo, Iowa passed away October 12, 2024. She was born April 8, 1947 in Tchula, Mississippi to Charles Henry Young, Sr. and Flossie Beatrice Miller.
She was a graduate of East High School. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a loyal and faithful member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church for many years. She loved to read the Bible and listen to Gospel music. Her favorite saying was “Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.” She tried to live her life this way and raised her children and grandchildren to do the same. She loved to cook and quilt.
She was kind and giving. If you came to visit you never left hungry or empty handed. It was her way to show you she cared. She will be dearly missed.
She married the love of her life, James Tucker, Jr., on November 18, 1968 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years; three daughters, Cent'hia King (John), Nekeidra Tucker, and Jane Tucker-Howard; grandchildren, Kentrell, Khalifah, and Kadar Harrington; great-grandchild Sasha Harrington; two sisters, Louella Brown and Robel Wright; two brothers, Richard (Dick) Young and Charles Young, Jr., all of Waterloo; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Cleotha Lacy, Eddie Earl Young, and Lee Henry Young.
