Khiré DeJuan Fox's Obituary
Khiré DeJuan Fox, the loving firstborn son of Shena Harris and DeJuan Shaquille Fox, was born on March 9, 2011 in Waterloo, Iowa. He died unexpectedly on February 26, 2025 at the age of 13 years old. Khiré attended school in the Waterloo Community School District and was in the 7th grade at Central Middle School.
To know Khiré was to love him with a smile on your face and laughter in your throat. Khiré was the coolest kid one could ever meet. He was always laughing, smiling, eating snacks, playing pranks, or cracking jokes. His laughter was infectious, and would brighten anyone’s day.
Khiré had a love for many things; and had a passion to learn new things. He could be considered to be an adventurous homebody. He liked to jog to school, skateboarding on occasions. He liked science, anime, drawing, gaming, YouTubing, and watching movies. In his free time he was learning new skateboarding tricks, and loved to learn new cooking recipes. He enjoyed going to the Boys and Girls Club, doing crafts and playing ball.
Khiré was a very charismatic young man who was loved by many, and got along with most. Khiré loved his family and friends, and cared about them deeply. He loved being a big brother and took pride in his family. He loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his younger siblings.
Khiré was fearless with a love for God. He accepted Christ and was baptized at Celebrations Church. There, he was involved in the youth ministry. He loved going to church, and loved his youth group and pastor.
Khiré leaves to cherish his memories his mother; his siblings, Khilee', DeJuan, De'Nia, Laila, and Arie; maternal grandmother, JoAnn (Danny) Montgomery of Waterloo; paternal grandparents, LaNitra Collins and Trevino Fox of Austin, Texas; maternal great-grandmother, Bonnie Shannon and paternal great-grandmother, Margo Collins-Draine, both of Waterloo; and honorary grandparents, Barbara (Kelvin) Zanders of Waterloo; aunts, Denisha and Chyla Harris of Waterloo, Lania Manning of Round Rock, Texas, Jamila Campbell of Austin, Texas, and Aniya, Kehleni, and Malaya Fox, all of Taylor, Texas; uncles, Don Turner of Waterloo, Javon (Tammy) Collins of Kellogg, Iowa, and De'lon Fox of Stone Mountain, Georgia; and godbrothers, Sal'Ontae Woods and Kaiden Smith of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and De'Mir Harris of Waterloo; as well as many other great-aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
