Stephanie Lynn Johnson, age 54, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was a resident of Waterloo, Iowa.
Born on January 19, 1971, in Iowa City, Iowa, Stephanie was the daughter of Debra Adams and Duane Carter. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose presence brought joy to everyone around her.
Stephanie worked as a sales associate at Dillard's, where she was known for her warmth, kindness, and strong work ethic. Outside of work, she enjoyed doing nails and hair, cooking for her family, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her laughter and ability to bring people together during holidays will never be forgotten.
Stephanie cherished her loving mother, Debbie; her children, Julian, LaTorya, and Nyavais as well as her only brother, Khalil, and her adored grandchildren – four granddaughters and four grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Kavonne, and many others who now welcome her home. However, her light continues to shine in the lives of those she leaves behind. Stephanie will be remembered for her strength, compassion, and the love she shared so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
