Wesley Curtis Hodges' Obituary
Wesley Curtis Hodges, 87, was born on August 29th, 1937 in Madison Arkansas, the son of Alton and Lee Bertha (Jackson) Hodges. He married Sylvia Lee and she preceded him in death.
At a young adult age he moved to Rochester, New York and thereafter to Waterloo, Iowa. Wesley was at one time employed with John Deere and Empire Engines.
Wesley gave up hanging out to raise his children; they were most important to him. Pamela Gardner was his special friend for over 30 years. He showed love to all who crossed his path, making it very difficult to see him upset.
He is survived by four sons, Mario Hodges of Waterloo, Iowa, Denzel Hodges of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Bennie Ray Hodges, and Wesley Hodges; three daughters, Destiny (Robert) Bradford of Waterloo, Lorene (O. Williams) Epps of Waterloo, and Laura Ann Hodges; one sister, Lillian Miller of Waterloo; one brother, Timothy Hodges of Waterloo; his common-law wife, Pamela (Pam) Gardner; and a host of nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son, Randolph Hodges; four sisters, Darcas Mae Hodges, Augusta Hodges Walker, Verdella Hodges Wooten, and Betty Jean Hodges Montgomery; and three brothers, Alton Hodges Jr., Bobby Hodges, and Colonel Hodges.
Memorials may be directed to the family at 233 Madison Street, Waterloo, Iowa 50703.
