Home Going Resolution
for
Rev. George Moore, Jr.
From:
St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church
4525 Diamond Drive, Madison, WI 53714
Where As, God in His wise providence and infinite wisdom called from our midst the Beloved Rev. George Moore, Jr. The Royal Family of St. Paul A.M.E. Church joins with Sis. Naomi Sisk-Moore, the entire family and friends, of Rev. Moore to thank God for the blessing of having him grace our lives with his presence. We rejoice with the blessed assurance that Rev. George was no stranger to the loving service of God.
Where As, we celebrate Rev. Moore’s Home Going trusting that yet, by the grace of God, he is doing well. We mourn not as those who have no hope; for we know that when this Earthly Tabernacle is dissolved that we have another building, not made with hands, but eternal in the heavens where we will meet again. May we celebrate and share the many memories of his service to the Lord and his family. Rev. Moore has completed a portion of History in each of our lives, blessed us with his presence, shared with us his passion and impressed us with a lasting memory. For his life, we do give praise and thanks to God.
Where As, Rev. Moore was a devoted servant of the Kingdom of God, he was ordained to preach the Word of God in 1941, Pastored seven churches of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, retired from the pastorate ministry in 2004, he was always meticulously debonair and crowned with his Fedora, He has been a father, husband, Pastor, and a true friend of many. Rev. George Moore, Jr. has passed from labor to heavenly reward. Blessed to see 100 years young as ‘99 & ½ won’t do’, certainly, in abundance many lives have been blessed by his love and service. He will truly be missed!
Therefore, Be It Resolved, that we, the St. Paul A.M.E. Church family, express our heartfelt sympathy to his family, friends and fellow servants of Christ. We pray that the Comforter will come to embrace your hearts and lift your sorrow.
Be It Further Resolved, that earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal and JESUS the man of sorrow understands all that transpires in human experiences and he said, “Come unto me all ye that are heavy laden and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28)
It Is Resolved, that a copy of this resolution be presented to the family and filed in the archive records of our church.
Humbly Submitted,
St. Paul A.M.E. Church
