Jalan T. (Cooper) Kastli's Obituary
A precious one from us has gone, a voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant in our home which never can be filled,
And after a lonely heartache, and many a silent tear,
We’ll always have a beautiful memory of one we loved so dear.
Jalan Tyrell (Cooper) Kastli was born on November 12th, 1996 in Waterloo, Iowa to his mother, Pamela (Cooper) Palmer, and father, Jason Kastli.
He entered this world with ease and was an angelic, bright, intelligent young soul. Jalan graduated from Waterloo West High School in May of 2015. Jalan was a talented, ambitious hard worker, working for a variety of employers including Pancheros; Dollar General; Trinity Railroad, where he was a sandblaster and welder; and Tires Plus. Jalan worked many construction jobs and was last employed for one year at the Cedar Falls Wal-Mart Super Center in the automotive department as an automotive technician. Jalan married his wife, Alyssa (Roney) Kastli, on October 28th, 2023, in Cedar Falls, Iowa in a beautiful private ceremony
Jalan was the kindest soul. He loved to cook and was a self-proclaimed grill master. From a young age and until his passing, Jalan enjoyed collecting Pokeman cards as well as gaming. Jalan had the most amazing poise and style. He enjoyed fast cars, great food, and travelling with his wife and had hopes of becoming a father. He was the greatest big brother to all of his younger siblings and the best son a mom could ever pray for.
Jalan had a captivating smile that intrigued all who knew and met him. He was a very talented rap artist and lyricist, capturing over one million streams of one of his many songs on SoundCloud.
Jalan is survived by his mother, Pamela Palmer; his father, Jason Kastli (Jeannie); his wife of two years, Alyssa (Roney) Kastli; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Tammy and Greg Coleman; his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Cooper; his paternal grandmother, Diane (Bob) Kastli; 10 siblings, Tia Palmer, Parker Palmer, Brooklyn Cooper, Daja Palmer, De’Marion Phillip, De’Keirra Phillip, Deriana Phillip, Isabella Kastli, Talor Laton, and Tyler Hurlbut; brother-in-law, Tristan (Shelby) Hackwell-Roney; sister-in-law, Keeley Panther; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Ben and Velma Bates of Durant, Mississippi; his cousin, Trevell Fisher of Waterloo; and other loving, belated relatives.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
